Ever get the feeling that when you listen to a certain song it makes you feel somewhat sad but you just can’t stop listening to that song and instead, you listen to it over and over again? Well. that’s exactly the feeling that I get whenever I listen to Noel Cabangon’s Kanlungan. It’s just so darn beautiful it makes you want to cry.

Here’s the lyrics to this song:

Chorus:
Pana-panahon ang pagkakataon
Maibabalik ba ang kahapon?

Natatandaan mo pa ba
Nang tayong dal’wa ang unang nagkita?
Panahon ng kamusmusan
Sa piling ng mga bulaklak at halaman
Doon tayong nagsimulang
Mangarap at tumula

Natatandaan mo pa ba
Inukit kong puso sa punong mangga
At ang inalay kong gumamela
Magkahawak-kamay sa dalampasigan
Malayang tulad ng mga ibon
Ang gunita ng ating kahapon

Refrain 1:
Ang mga puno’t halaman
Ay kabiyak ng ating gunita
Sa paglipas ng panahon
Bakit kailangan ding lumisan?

[Repeat Chorus]

Ngayon ikaw ay nagbalik
At tulad ko rin ang iyong pananabik
Makita ang dating kanlungan
Tahanan ng ating tula at pangarap
Ngayon ay naglaho na
Saan hahanapin pa?

Refrain 2:
Lumilipas ang panahon
Kabiyak ng ating gunita
Ang mga puno’t halaman
Bakit kailangang lumisan?

[Repeat Chorus]
[Repeat Refrain 2]
[Repeat Chorus]

Hello world!

I don’t know what’s gotten into me but suddenly I just decided on making this WordPress blog, when I’ve been blogging for almost more than a year with Blogger. I’ve kept three personal blogs there, and I still update them every once in a while. But for this blog, I’ve decided to let a little bit of me come out.

I guess somewhere along the way, I’ve gotten tired about making money off of paid posts, so I’m taking a breather and going back to what I love – plain and simple blogging.

I hope this new venture of mine into blogging about music that I like from artists that are Filipino will be something sort of a success. I can’t promise that this blog will be solely about Philippine music, as I also listen to a lot of foreign bands, so I might squeeze some every once in a while.

Well, wish me luck! Cheers!
